After dinner in Znojmo on Tuesday, July 3 rd , 2018, we headed back home. I fell asleep, and Eric got a little sidetracked, we ended up at a place with one of the best sightseeing we had seen so far. The name of this place was Vranov nad Dyjí, a market town in the Czech Republic in the South Moravia north of the Austrian border.

We saw in different places in Europe that people would put locks with their initials or love messages on bridges or just at a location that felt right for a love lock, probably places that have a meaning for them or had some special memory. This place was worth locking some love. We didn’t put any lock because during my visit to Poland the tourist guide had commented that these locks are becoming a problem in some places across Europe. The weight of many locks can cause damages to structures. So, as romantic as these locks might be, it’s always better not to go around doing things that can cause problems.
