“A Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque Fairy Tale Experience”
I had done my research online, looking for places we could go back and forth driving the same day. The previous day, we had gone to Znojmo. Now, we decided to venture a little further out. I had seen a YouTube video about the top 10 places to visit in the Czech, Český Krumlov was among the top three and with good reason! This city is an inspiration for fairy tales. Český Krumlov is around 3.5 hours away from Brno, in some parts of the entire trip we encounter very narrow two lanes roads or sections where only one lane was going through a very forestry countryside.
To enter this city, we went over a bridge on a one lane road that went through the arc of a gatehouse. It felt like going back in time into a medieval town.
Inside the city, the streets were very narrow; on some roads, there was hardly space for one car. We went straight into the castle, which has parking outside.
